Even my Chinese friends love it! :)

The sounds and pronunciation are ok but the transliteration or English letters for the Chinese sounds are weak. It is inconsistent but closest to Pinyin. It is not the Wade-Giles or the Yale system which were older methods of transliteration. Although somewhat weak and inconsistent the English words do give the student a rough idea of how the words should be pronounced, and of course the backup is to listen to the phrase. I think if this German fellow used the Pinyin properly the app would be much better.

I downloaded expecting low. Great app, a lot of simple necessary phrases. You should include characters though.

Nobody can speak chinesse, not even chinesse people can speak chinesse. It must either be Mandarian, Cantonesse, and so on.

Downloaded several apps before traveling to China. Always returned to this one for it fast easy interface. Thats important when you want make simple request in a busy place. (Every place is busy in China).

I am very pleased with this App. I am hearing impaired and the spoken Words are crisp and comprehensible. I am happy to be able to express my appreciation of my neighbors kindnesses in her native Language! Thank you!

This is a very handy tool for anyone to learn the basic useful phrases to communicate in Chinese.

Very Helpful basics.. Would be a lot better if they can show verbally how to pronounce the word.
